Turf Cricket

First & Second XI

The Newtown & Chilwell First and Second XIs compete in the Geelong Cricket Association’s turf competition, the highest level of club cricket in the region. Both teams play their home matches on KFC Oval, widely regarded as the best cricket ground in Geelong. Our turf players enjoy first-class facilities, including modern clubrooms and training spaces at The Rooms.

The program combines a proud tradition of success with a welcoming environment for new players. Recruitment is always open, and new members are encouraged to get involved and become part of the Two Blues family.

Hard Wicket

Third, Fourth, Fifth & Sixth XI

The club fields four senior hard wicket teams, providing opportunities for players of all skill levels. The Third and Fourth XIs compete for valuable club championship points, with Shaw Oval at Queens Park serving as their home ground.

The Fifth and Sixth XIs participate in stand-alone one-day competitions, offering a competitive yet social cricketing experience. Hard wicket cricket plays a vital role in the club structure, ensuring strong pathways for players beyond the turf level. It’s the perfect option for those who want to play quality cricket in a supportive and community-focused environment.

Juniors

Ages 5-17

Our junior program welcomes boys and girls from ages 5 to 17, with teams entered in all age groups of the Geelong Junior Cricket Association. From Woolworths Cricket Blast for beginners to Under 17s preparing for senior cricket, every child can learn and grow at their own pace. Junior training is held throughout the week at KFC Oval, with dedicated coaches ensuring players develop their skills in a fun and safe environment.

The Two Blues are proudly committed to child safety and maintaining an inclusive culture for all families. Beyond cricket, juniors also become part of a community that values teamwork, sportsmanship and lifelong friendships.

Newtown & Chilwell is proud to support the growth of women’s and girls’ cricket in the Geelong region. Our women’s program provides opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels to get involved, whether they are new to the game or experienced competitors. With access to the same high-quality facilities and coaching as our senior men’s teams, players are supported to enjoy cricket at every level.

The club is dedicated to building a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages participation and development. Women’s cricket at the Two Blues is not just about matches — it’s about community, connection, and creating pathways for future generations.
