Newtown and Chilwell Cricket Club celebrated outstanding performances from across all grades at tonight's presentation at the Club rooms, announcing the Team of the Month for January 2026.

The selections showcase exceptional talent from junior grades through to senior teams, with remarkable individual performances and impressive all-round contributions throughout the month.

Tim Clark (2nd XI)

Tim led the batting honours with an outstanding 256 runs at an average of 128.0, headlined by a commanding 162 against Lara last weekend.

Charlie Windt (4th XI)

Accumulated 202 runs at an average of 101.0, featuring scores of 88 and an unbeaten 106, while Lenny Robinson (Under 13) showed exceptional consistency with 108 runs at an average of 108.0, dismissed only once in four innings.

Mark Ainsworth (4th XI)

Contributed 89 runs at an average of 89.0, including a memorable 162-run partnership with Charlie Windt against East Belmont, while Mitchell Davies (Under 13) scored 162 runs at an average of 81.0, with a top score of 51 in the Country Week Final, demonstrating selfless team play throughout.

Harvey Sargent (Under 13)

Delivered a complete all-round performance with 129 runs at 64.5, 8 wickets at 5.5, and 4 catches. Notably, Harvey opened the batting in Under 13 Country Week despite still being eligible for Under 11, showcasing his advanced skills and maturity.

Rex Suvoltos (2nd XI & Under 17)

Earned his second Team of the Month selection (previously October) with 103 runs at 25.8 and 4 dismissals as wicketkeeper in the Under 17s.

Eoin Couch (Under 17 & 4th XI)

Claimed 7 wickets at an average of 12.9, with best figures of 3 for 26 against Lara last Saturday, earning his second Team of the Month selection.

Liam Miller (Under 11 & 13)

Earned his second Team of the Month appearance with 115 runs at 57.5 and 6 wickets at 13.7, including best figures of 3 for 5. Liam opened the batting alongside Harvey Sargent in the Under 13 Country Week Final, highlighting the strength of Newtown's junior program.

Charles Donnar (Under 15)

Took 5 wickets at an impressive average of 9.2, with best figures of 2 for 18 in game one at Country Week.

Yves Roussety (3rd & 4th XI)

Claimed 5 wickets at 9.8 with best figures of 3 for 32, also proving handy with the bat by scoring 60 runs against St Peters.

12TH MAN

Archie Carleton (Under 13 & 15)

Secured the 12th man position with 164 runs at an average of 54.7 and 4 catches in January. Archie's commitment to the team was evident throughout the month, never backing away from a catching opportunity.

"These selections reflect the depth of talent and commitment across all grades at Newtown and Chilwell," said a club spokesperson. "From our youngest players in the Under 11s through to our senior teams, January has been a month of exceptional cricket and outstanding individual performances."
